About the job
The Emergency Manager provides direct oversight and technical leadership to the DRC Somalia’s emergency response and mobile emergency response teams and oversees the delivery of DRC’s emergency MPCA portfolio in static locations and areas with extreme access constraints. Furthermore, the ER Manager supports the Country Director and Head of Programme in developing DRC’s emergency programme strategy and ensures that linkages with other DRC sectors, especially within CCCM are forged.
The Emergency Manager will manage the delivery of DRCs emergency projects to the most vulnerable displacement and conflict affected populations based upon enhanced targeting modalities and will facilitate relations between DRC and the local communities in the realization of emergency response project objectives, ensuring the mitigation of diversion tactics. The Emergency Manager along with CCCM Coordinator and EC Rec Co will help to pivot DRC´s response to early recovery using an area-based approach formed in the emergency period to transition caseloads towards resilience programming.

Salary and conditions will be in accordance with Danish Refugee Council’s Terms of Employment for employees on Expat or national contract.
