About the job
DRC is Prepositioning for funding opportunity as a Program Implementing Partner to provide vocational education and training (TVET) in Somalia. The Gender-Based Violence (GBV) Officer will play a critical role in ensuring the successful implementation of gender-sensitive, safe, and supportive interventions for the World Bank-funded "Somalia Empowering Women through Education and Skills 'Rajo Kaaba' Project" in Galmudug and Mogadishu, with a specific focus on preventing and addressing GBV among participants. This position will be involved in designing, implementing, and monitoring GBV prevention and response strategies within the project’s activities. The GBV Officer will work closely with project partners, community leaders, and local stakeholders to create a safe learning environment for all beneficiaries, particularly women and girls, who are at a heightened risk of gender-based violence.
This role is contingent upon the successful securing of funding for the project.

Salary and conditions will be in accordance with Danish Refugee Council’s Terms of Employment for employees on national contract.
