I. Summary of Position
The Health and Nutrition Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the planning, implementation, monitoring, and reporting of health and nutrition activities across supported health centers, stabilization sites, mobile clinics, and outreach programs. The position ensures quality delivery of Primary Health Care (PHC) and emergency nutrition services, supports government health staff, and strengthens community-based health responses in line with national protocols and Action Against Hunger standards.
II. Purpose
The purpose of this role is to ensure effective management of health and nutrition programs through technical support, capacity building, supervision, and close collaboration with government, communities, and partners. The position ensures that services are accessible, accountable, and delivered with quality, while promoting gender equality, protection, and dignity for beneficiaries.
III. Engagement
The Health and Nutrition Supervisor work under the direct supervision of the Health and Nutrition Officer or Program Manager and Field Coordinator and engages closely with project staff, government health authorities, community health workers (CHWs), and humanitarian partners. The role requires active participation in coordination forums, representation of the organization at the local level, and continuous collaboration with beneficiaries and communities.
