Request for Proposal (RFP) No. (RFP-SOM-HGA-2025-002)
Consultancy for Fisheries Value Chain Assessment in Somaliland
Founded in 1956, the Danish Refugee Council (DRC) is Denmark’s largest, and a leading international NGO - one of the few with a specific expertise in forced displacement. In 40 countries 9,000 employees protect, advocate and build sustainable futures for refugees and other displacements affected people and communities.
The Danish Refugee Council (DRC), under the DANIDA Strategic Partnerships Agreement (SPA) project, aims to improve the resilience and livelihoods of displacement-affected communities in Somaliland. As part of Outcome 6 – 'People have more decent and resilient livelihoods' – the project seeks to strengthen fishery-based livelihoods and businesses, particularly for migrants, IDPs, refugees, and asylum seekers. Building on the 2023 labour market assessment that identified fisheries as an untapped sector for livelihoods and job creation, DRC intends to conduct a comprehensive fishery value chain assessment to guide evidence-based interventions and programming.
