ABOUT ACTIONAID INTERNATIONAL SOMALILAND
ActionAid International is a global justice Federation working in about 70 countries across the world to achieve social justice, gender equality and poverty eradication. ActionAid is currently registered in Somaliland with the Ministry of National Planning and Development. We have been operating in Somaliland for over 32 years with most operations concentrated in 4 out of 6 regions in Somaliland. We work directly in many communities across our operational areas with people’s organizations, women’s movements, youth activists, and networks, social movements, and other allies to overcome the structural causes and consequences of poverty and injustice. We connect the work we do at community level with broader efforts and struggles for justice at the national, regional, and global level to make the greatest contribution towards a just, equitable and sustainable world.
Selection of Travel Agency for Air Ticket Booking Services
ActionAid Somaliland and Somalia invite eligible, competent, and reputable travel agencies to apply for prequalification for the provision of air ticket booking services for its operations in Somaliland and Somalia.
Scope of Services
The selected travel agency(ies) will be required to provide, but not limited to, the following services:
International and regional air ticket booking
Domestic air ticket booking
Route planning and fare optimization
Ticket changes, re-issuance, cancellations, and refunds
Emergency and short-notice travel support
Provision of competitive fares and flexible booking options
Timely delivery of e-tickets and travel documentation
Eligibility Requirements
Interested travel agencies must meet the following minimum requirements:
Valid business registration and operating license.
Valid IATA accreditation (mandatory).
Tax compliance certificate (where applicable).
Company profile with relevant experience (minimum of 3 years preferred).
Evidence of experience providing similar services to NGOs, UN agencies, or corporate clients.
Availability of 24/7 customer support services.
Bank statements or financial capability evidence.
References from at least three (3) previous or current clients.
IMPORTANT NOTES:
The bidder shall quote prices in USD only.
The selected supplier will work for ActionAid Somaliland for one year only.
The selection process depends on the eligibility criteria and all quoted travel agencies have equal opportunity.
All responses must be clear, accurate, and supported with evidence where applicable.
Incomplete submissions may be disqualified.
Submission Requirements
Interested bidders should submit prequalification documents clearly marked:
“Prequalification for Travel Agency – Air Ticket Booking Services”
The submission should include:
A cover letter expressing interest
All eligibility documents listed above
Contact details of the focal person
