1. ABOUT QATAR CHARITY:

Qatar Charity is a leading non-profit organization in the Arab world and globally, established in 1992 to serve both Qatari society and underprivileged communities regardless of race, gender, or cultural background. The organization plays a vital role in sustainable development, poverty alleviation, and emergency relief, and holds consultative status with the Organization of Islamic Cooperation. Since 1999, it has also been a founding member of the Arab Network for Development in Cairo.

Operating in Somalia since 2007, Qatar Charity focuses on key sectors such as education, health, shelter, livelihoods, emergency response, social care, WASH, and the construction of public infrastructure. In collaboration with both federal and state governments, QC is currently implementing various development and youth-focused programs.

As part of its ongoing commitment to humanitarian and development efforts in Somalia, Qatar Charity invites qualified and experienced contractors to express their interest in the upcoming tender for the construction of a Vocational and Innovation Center in Mogadishu. The center will feature technical training areas and administrative facilities aimed at promoting youth employment, innovation, and sustainable local development—contributing directly to Somalia’s long-term growth and stability.

1. PURPOSE OF THIS REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL:

This Expression of Interest (EOI) aims to identify qualified contractors or joint ventures with proven experience in the construction of multi-story institutional or educational buildings. Shortlisted firms will be invited to the next stage to submit a full technical and financial proposal.

Wadajir District Mogadishu, Somalia 

1.  SCOPE OF THE WORK:

The proposed project comprises multiple facilities, including an Innovation Center, a Masjid, a Multipurpose Hall, an Engineering Workshop building, and a three-story reinforced concrete Office Building. The scope includes complete electrical, mechanical (HVAC, plumbing), and ICT installations, as well as internal finishes such as partitions, tiling, staircases, and ceilings. External works will cover walkways, a fencing wall, a water tank, and football pitch.
