To enhance real-time monitoring, spatial analysis, and communication of data insights, UNFPA Somalia is engaging online volunteers with technical expertise in sampling Expert

Task description

Constructing the sampling weights and providing detailed documentation of the method.  Base Weight Calculation  Nonresponse Adjustment  Calibration/Poststratification  Weight Trimming A Weighting Technical Note documenting the step-by-step methodology used to calculate base weights, non-response adjustments, and final calibrated weights. A Final Dataset containing the unique weight variable assigned to each responding unit.

Experiences and Qualifications

Assignment requirements

Required experience

Sampling Expert with a background in statistics or a related field and proven experience in designing complex survey weights for large-scale household or institutional surveys. - Relevant experience aligned with the role’s responsibilities. - Experience in online collaboration and development context is an asset.

Languages

English, Level: Fluent, Required Somali, Level: Fluent, Desirable
