1.0. Introduction and Background
Action Aid International Somaliland (AAIS) is implementing the project "Cultivating the Future," funded by the Italian Government, to address water scarcity and food insecurity in the Maroodijeh Region. A key project component (Activity A3.2) involves constructing household-level rainwater harvesting ponds for 200 vulnerable agro-pastoral households.
This Terms of Reference (ToR) outlines the requirements for the procurement, custom-cutting, and delivery of High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE) Geomembrane sheets. These sheets will serve as impermeable liners for the water harvesting ponds, a critical intervention for enhancing water security and community resilience.
2.0. Target Beneficiaries and Locations
The procurement will directly benefit 200 households across the following five locations:
